John,

With 252,000 illegal border crossers in December – and an estimated 100,000 gotaways in the same timeframe – Mayorkas is clearly not maintaining operational control of the southern border.

Adding insult to this injurious miscarriage of duty, Mayorkas has repeatedly lied under oath – declaring the border is secure.

Over 100 suspected terrorists have been caught in the last year, with an estimated one million unvetted gotaways. Transnational criminal organizations are entrenched on both sides of the Mexican-U.S. border to reinforce the power of their drug and human trafficking operations. This illicit invasion has led to the loss of over 100,000 American lives from fentanyl alone in 2022.

Instead of acting with urgency to address this horrific reality, Mayorkas handicaps Customs and Border Patrol agents from doing their job, and slanders them when it serves his political agenda.

In 2021, I introduced articles of impeachment for DHS Secretary Mayorkas because the situation was bad then. The intensification of the border crisis now has led many of my colleagues to join the call for Mayorkas’ resignation.

I am reintroducing my articles of impeachment because Americans deserve elected officials who will hold all bureaucrats accountable when they fail to uphold their oaths to enforce our laws and protect our country!
