John, President Biden's State of the Union Address is just around the corner, and our newly expanded Democratic majority in the Senate is finalizing our priorities for the first 100 days of this Congress.

This is a critical moment for our party, our country and, most importantly, for American families like yours. That's why I'm personally reaching out to my top supporters to hear what issues matter most to their families — and, John, your name was at the top of my list. I'm so proud of the victories that this team achieved in the last Congress. We passed my legislation to support our veterans, stop dangerous gun trafficking and empower assault survivors to seek justice. These are issues I've worked on for years — decades, actually — and, finally, our Democratic Senate majority got it done. 

It's been deeply gratifying to celebrate these wins, but there is still so much work ahead of us: restoring reproductive rights, lowering the cost of health care, protecting programs like Social Security and much more. It's clear that we can only move the needle on critical issues like these with a united Democratic majority in the Senate. 

That's why I need to hear from you now, John. Experts are already saying the GOP has a clear path to flip the Senate next year, and, in the meantime, Republicans are racing to destroy our progressive agenda. The fact of the matter is that we don't have time to waste to pass vital legislation in 2023.
