We need people power.

"How can you put a dollar value on someone's life?"

In 2007, Gina lost her daughter Tiffany because of a failure in our health care system.

Tiffany got sick, and couldn't work as much, and eventually her employer let her go.

What happened next, is a story that is far too common in the U.S. Tiffany lost her health insurance, and couldn't afford the out-of-pocket cost for the treatments she needed. She was denied Medicaid because she had been employed within the last 12 months, making her ineligible for the program.

Tiffany got sicker, and ultimately lost her life because of our broken, profit-driven health care system.

Gina is raising Tiffany's kids – her grandchildren – and fighting for health care justice so no other family has to go through what hers did. She helped win the Affordable Care Act, and now she's ready to win Medicare for All.

70% of Americans agree with Gina and support a Medicare for All program. But when our movements grow momentum, corporate giants double down their expensive lobbying operations to keep politicians in line with their profit-driven agenda.

The only way to combat attacks from the pharma and insurance lobbies is to send a flood of messages to Congress in support of Medicare for All, demanding the care we all deserve.

Today is the 54th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid. As Tiffany's story shows, there are still cracks in our system that must be filled so that health care is guaranteed as a human right.

You can take 3 action steps right now to honor Tiffany's memory, fight the health industry lobbying machine, and usher in a new era of Medicare for All?

Here's how:

  1. Send a message to your representatives in Congress. Our tool makes it as easy as a few clicks.
  2. Donate to our Health Care for All campaign. Your dollars help us reach new activists, and grow the movement until we win.
  3. Share this campaign on Facebook and Twitter. Bring your friends and family into our movement.
When we fight, we win. Thank you for taking a stand for health care as a human right.

In solidarity,
Connie and everyone at People's Action
