January has come and gone, and a lot has happened in this race for governor. I wanted to take a moment to reach out and catch you up on the latest race updates.

12 Republicans have officially filed to run against me this year. They have already spent over a million dollars, and one opponent has even gone up with ads on the air targeting my record! That's not including the tens of thousands of dollars in outside money that has been raised to attack the work we’ve done together.

We have a tough fight ahead of us – but I have good news. We've started off the new year in a strong spot. New polling shows I'm leading the pack, and a majority of Kentuckians say they approve of the job my administration and I have done. We need to keep up our momentum and ensure we're ready for whatever attacks and outside spending come our way.
