John, on January 3rd, the 118th Congress was inaugurated and Senators took their oaths of office. The House — well, that’s another story.

It is a great honor and privilege to serve the people of New Jersey and across this nation in the Senate, one that I will never take for granted.

We have a great deal of work to do in the next two years — tackling rising costs, child poverty, lack of affordable housing, environmental degradation, reforming our system of policing, and more.

And thanks to you, we have a Senate majority to help do it. One you strengthened in historic fashion, for the first time in a midterm of a Democratic presidency since Roosevelt’s New Deal.

The new House leadership is already introducing legislation to roll back the progress of the last two years. I will be relying on your support to help defend everything we’ve accomplished and continue moving forward together.

But for now, I simply want to share my gratitude with you for continuing with me on this journey in pursuit of a more just, loving nation.

More soon.

With love and gratitude,

Cory
