Hi John,

I wanted to make sure you heard: last year, Chuy Garcia accepted campaign contributions from crypto crook Sam Bankman-Fried and now his name has surfaced in the Michael Madigan federal corruption investigation.

And just last week, we learned that Chuy has been removed from the congressional committee that oversees the cryptocurrency industry.

That is not who Chicago deserves as Mayor. We don’t need another leader who props up a rigged system and only works with the connected and the corrupt.

I’m proud to have stood up to the rigged system to win real progress for Chicago. I need your help to fight back before tomorrow’s critical monthly deadline.

Will you pitch in to my people-powered campaign before tomorrow’s final monthly deadline before Election Day? I’m counting on your help to have what it takes to defeat my special interest-connected opponents and WIN.
DONATE

The new reports about Chuy Garcia show how deep he’s in with the well-connected and the corrupt.

Not only did Garcia benefit from HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars from the indicted-crypto-crook, but we just learned he cashed a check from that fraudster’s brother too.

And Garcia has flip-flopped on if he’s ever personally spoken to the disgraced, indicted crypto maven.

Chicago deserves a leader who is transparent and accountable, not someone swerving from one scandal to the next.

Please rush a donation before tomorrow so I can make sure every Chicagoan knows the stakes of this election.

Together, we’ll keep fighting for Chicago to ensure everyone has a real opportunity to succeed – not to bring us back to the days where our leaders only fought for the well-connected.

Thanks,
Lori Lightfoot
