My name is Megan and I’m Colin’s Finance Director. Now that we’re in a new year, and a new election cycle, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and talk a little bit more about our campaign.
My title may seem self-explanatory, but I want to tell you a bit about why my role is critical to the success of our campaign over the long term. I hope you’ll read my whole email. But if you don’t have time, please consider contributing $20.23 to Colin’s first end-of-month fundraiser of the year! [[link removed]]
You see, as a member of the House, Colin has to run for re-election every two years; which means the work never really stops. Over the next two years, our team will meet North Texans where they are, block walk our district, and host phone banks to reach voters. We will also need the resources to run ads and keep offices open to ensure we reach as many voters as possible all across the 32nd district.
That already costs a lot of money during a normal election, but 2024 will be anything but normal. It will be a presidential election year where we will have to fight to preserve our democracy and protect the work our Democratic majorities have done over the past two years. We must do everything in our power to let voters know that Democrats have delivered for them. That work will be incredibly costly, but it is critical for the future of our nation.
This time of the year our costs are a bit lower, so we need to maximize how much money we’re able to bring in. If we can fill our coffers now, we can do more down the road to re-elect Colin.
It’s my job to make sure we stay on track financially. So I’ve set a goal for our team to raise $10,000 by the end of this month to mark our first month of 2023. So will you help me make sure Colin is in a strong position next year by pitching in $20.23 to his campaign today? [[link removed]]
