On Wednesday, Democrats in the State Senate stopped Glenn Youngkin's proposed abortion ban from moving forward.

Democrats right now have only a 2-seat majority —- but as this news shows, even the smallest of majorities can make a world of difference.

It's simple: if Democrats had not narrowly prevailed in the 2019 elections and a special election earlier this month, Republicans would have erased the reproductive rights of millions of Virginians.

Elections have consequences — and November's will be more consequential than ever. After redistricting, Hala has to win her seat in order for us to have a chance at maintaining the Democratic majority in the Senate.
