When I was elected to Congress, I promised to make a difference in the lives of North Carolinians and to work with anyone and everyone to get things done. I meant it.

In my first term, I introduced more than 40 bills and amendments, with more than 10 enacted into law. I proudly cast my vote for the Inflation Reduction Act, which makes a historic investment in combating climate change while lowering critical health care costs. And in the face of countless GOP attacks on our fundamental freedoms, I’ve fought to protect access to abortion in North Carolina and across the country.

I’ll be honest with you: This work is not easy. I’ve taken on some tough battles since I was first elected — and I’ve won, thanks to supporters like you.

Our work isn’t over. As I’m sure you know, we’ve got a lot of fights ahead of us, and as I begin my second term, I’d very much appreciate your continued support. If you can make a contribution ahead of Tuesday’s end-of-month fundraising deadline, it would mean a lot to me. [[link removed]]

Thank you for everything. Your support really does make all the difference.

— Deborah
