John –

Last week, January 20th marked two years since President Biden took
office.

In that time, President Biden has had plenty of opportunities to take
swift and meaningful action towards fighting the climate crisis. He’s
taken some significant steps, like revoking permits for the Keystone XL
pipeline and signing the historic Inflation Reduction Act.

With $369 billion available through the Inflation Reduction Act, it's
really critical we ensure President Biden directs those resources to
frontline communities and to real climate solutions. We want to see people
across the country have access to solar and wind power. We want to see
people's utility costs reduced and less dependent on fossil fuels. This is
all possible through our advocacy this year.

our goals this year. We’ve mapped out our 2023 priorities on fossil fuel
resistance and investing in climate solutions. We need your help to share
them far and wide. Will you take a moment to learn about our 2023
priorities and then share them on social media?

To mark President Biden’s midterm anniversary, we joined forces with our
People vs. Fossil Fuels coalition partners to hold a nationwide day of
action. Together, local groups across the country honored the life and
legacy of long time water protector, pipeline fighter, and Indigenous
climate champion Joye Braun by calling on President Biden to take action
now:

This coordinated collective action, with justice at its center and the
needs of frontline communities as the priority, was just the beginning of
our movement’s work in 2023. It’s up to us to keep the pressure on
President Biden and urge him to finally end the era of fossil fuels.
