Last week, the GOP released the tax plan that is the centerpiece of their Commitment To (destroy) America. And we need your help figuring out what to call it.

Want to know what’s in it first? Read one sentence at a time here, because it literally only gets worse. Here’s what they want to do: 

1. Abolish the federal income tax. 
2. Eliminate the corporate income tax and tax credits that benefit low-income individuals. 
3. Introduce a 30% national sales tax on ALL consumers (multiply your grocery bill by 1.3x to figure out how this will impact you!)

If this sounds like a blatant giveaway to wealthy MAGA donors, then you’re absolutely correct. Of course, in typical GOP doublespeak, they’re calling this American rip-off The Fair Tax Act. 

Yep, a playbook we’ve all seen before. Introduce legislation that would devastate middle class and low-income families, then lie about its contents to avoid the inevitable backlash at the ballot box. 

We’re not standing for it. That’s why we’re calling out the so-called “Fair Tax Act” on social media to make sure that American voters aren’t fooled into voting for any GOP member who supports this horrific legislation. The only question we have for you, is what should we call it?
