Team —

Robert just officially cosponsored his first bill in Congress. And it's not just any bill, it’s a bill to hold Congress accountable.

Robert is a cosponsor of the TRUST in Congress Act, a bill that will ban individual stock trading by members of Congress.

This is a huge deal. Because the truth is, for too long Congress has been full of politicians who work to further their own interests and those of their big-money corporate funders, not their constituents. They’re voted in by the people but vote for policies that would protect their own economic self-interest, including the companies they’ve invested in.

They took the people out of the People’s House, and that doesn't roll with us.

If you agree with Robert, add your name to become a citizen co-sponsor of the TRUST in Congress Act to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. [[link removed]]

When Robert took the oath of office, he vowed to represent the people of California’s 42nd district and vote on policies that would benefit working Americans, not himself or corporations. But not everyone does the same. So this bill matters because it not only holds members of Congress accountable but restores the power of the people's vote.

This bill has a long way to go but is a big step in the right direction. It brings back the responsibility of members to act on the behalf of their constituents. And Robert could not have been a part of it without your support.

So please: Take a moment today to add your name as a citizen co-sponsor for the TRUST in Congress Act. Your support will let Robert know that he's representing your needs. [[link removed]]

Thank you for all that you do and for being a part of this team.

Together,

Team Robert Garcia
