Senator Rolfes knows that our state’s recycling system is in desperate need of modernization. The WRAP Act addresses key weaknesses in the system and establishes a program to increase recycling rates and incentivize companies to reduce packaging. Producer responsibility programs like the WRAP Act have been shown to reduce garbage and increase recycling in other US states and European countries. It’s time for the Evergreen State to take action, too!
