We expected a post-election slowdown in our digital fundraising, but we’re seeing a larger dip than we anticipated.
At this point in January 2021 — the last post-election year — we had raised $38,989. Over the same period this year, we’ve raised $11,382. We’re sharing an honest look at our fundraising because you — and folks like you — are the ones who power this movement.
As Finance Director, it’s my job to ensure we have the resources to keep Ayanna in Congress and continue growing this movement for equity and justice.
The reality is, if we don’t turn this slowdown around by the end of the month, we’re going to have to change our campaign’s long term planning and budget.
If 1 in 3 folks who receive this email each chip in $3 before midnight tonight, then we can make up for the slowdown we’ve had so far this month. Will you be one of those folks and help Ayanna stay focused on legislating and not fundraising?
