Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, This week marked the first District Work Period of 2023, and I was so happy to spend time in our community with residents and local leaders to discuss your concerns and priorities for the year ahead. These weeks are crucial to informing the work I do in Washington, and I am grateful to everyone I had a chance to meet with for sharing their time and their insights with me and my office. Here are a few highlights from my week in the district: I kicked off the week by meeting with Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. Following our meeting, I toured the Latin American Association Outreach Center in Lawrenceville. Later that day, I attended a briefing with the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce. Pictured above: Rep. McBath tours Latin American Association Outreach Center Since I took office in 2019, it has been my honor to serve on the House Committee on Education and Labor. I took time this week to tour two local colleges, Georgia Gwinnett College and Gwinnett Tech. I am grateful for the many wonderful opportunities that a college education is bringing to residents here in our community. Pictured above: Rep. Hundreds of Japanese businesses have invested over $10 billion in our state, and I look forward to continuing to foster friendship and cooperation between our two nations. It was my pleasure to welcome Consul General Mio Maeda to my Duluth district office. Pictured above: Rep.
