80% of the population wants less coercion in politics

“Most people are libertarian, they just don’t know it yet.” You’ve probably heard this phrase repeated in libertarian circles for years, but in an era of increased polarization, it might seem hard to believe.

Everywhere you look, it seems there is a new conflict, and everyone is trapped in the left-right dichotomy. You may even see your friends and family, once sympathetic to libertarian ideas, get swept up in the growing culture war.

Where are all the libertarians? They’re hiding in plain sight.

You’ve probably taken the World’s Smallest Political Quiz ([link removed]) and have shared it with your friends and family over the years. But that isn’t the only Advocates for Self-Government tool at your disposal.

The Human Respect Test ([link removed]) walks you through social challenges, but it doesn’t ask you to change your beliefs. Instead, the Test talks directly to people in the language of their political type, and asks them to consider whether they believe coercion or persuasion is the better path.

As of today, the Human Respect Test has been completed by 100,000 people!

82% have indicated that they favor more respect in our politics, regardless of their political beliefs.

Let me say that differently, so it's crystal clear: Regardless of whether someone is progressive, conservative, or something else, 82% of people, after completing the Test, say they don't want to see coercion used to achieve their social goals.

We believe that the Test demonstrates that people can be as conservative or as liberal as they want to be, so long as they don’t use coercion to enforce their beliefs.

And here's the value of that insight to you…

The next time you find yourself in a political debate, don’t try to change the other person's mind. Instead, ask them to reconsider how they look at the issue. Respect is the key. Share the Human Respect Test with someone today.
