You’ve probably heard or read the phrase, “If everyone reading this chipped in right now, we’d meet our goal today.”

It’s kind of a mind-blowing idea, isn’t it?

A contribution of $5 or $10 may not seem like much. And it’s certainly true that one person’s contribution alone isn’t enough to fund a winning campaign. But when you’re part of a truly grassroots movement like ours, nobody has to do it alone.

As you read this email in Washington, there are thousands of other people reading it somewhere else too. Some of them have already donated. Others will have donated by the time you finish reading this. Each of those contributions adds up. Before long it becomes enough to power our campaign and the work we do.

And even though we’re up against some of the wealthiest people in the country—oil companies, billionaire super-PACs, lobbyists of all kinds—we have a big enough movement to fight back and win.

So, I’ll remind you one more time: if everyone reading this chipped in today, we’d hit our January fundraising goal two weeks early and send a strong message that 2023 is going to be a historic year for our movement.
