Folks,

Today, we celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His unwavering pursuit of justice in the face of inconceivable harassment and discrimination inspired me to become a civil rights attorney. Dr. King’s memory continues to inspire me every day to persevere in the fight to make our country a more equal and just place.

As a nation, we must come together to continue Dr. King's fight in pursuit of civil and voting rights for every American. We cannot allow the dark forces to tear us apart.

Dr. King and so many others put their lives on the line to make sure every American could vote. Now, we all have a responsibility to protect the right to vote, and to work to bend the arc of the moral universe towards justice.

As we honor Dr. King today, I hope you’ll join me in finding ways to carry on his efforts, like taking some time to serve your community, and to encourage our nation to live up to its founding ideals. I’m so grateful to have you by my side in this work.

Sincerely,

Colin
