It’s a momentous day! National Wildlife magazine is excited to announce the opening of our 49th annual photo
contest—and we’d love you to be a part of it.

Be one of the first to enter the National Wildlife Photo Contest today!

Whether you’re an amateur or professional photographer, we’d love to see some of
your best images of wildlife and wild lands, from around the world or your own
backyard.

You can enter images in any of these eight categories:

* Birds: Portraits and behavior
* Mammals: Portraits and behavior
* Baby Animals: Portraits and behavior of young animals of any species
* Other Wildlife: Portraits and behavior (includes underwater life, reptiles, amphibians,
insects, spiders and more)
* Landscapes & Plants: Scenic views and native plants from backyards to wild places
* People in Nature: People enjoying the outdoors or connecting with nature and wildlife
* Youth: Category for nature photographers age 13-17
* NEW Mobile Category: Nature, wildlife and people outdoors photographed with a mobile device
(phone or tablet)

[[link removed]] Winners will receive cash prizes. The Grand Prize is $5000 plus a 100-400mm Di
VC USD lens from Tamron, a proud supporter of the 2020 National Wildlife Photo Contest. First Place in each category wins $500 and Second Place wins
$250. In addition to cash prizes, winners will be announced in a press release,
highlighted through our social media channels and published in print and/or
online.

This long-running, prestigious contest is unique because it celebrates wildlife,
habitats and the natural world with an eye on conservation. Modest entry fees help support the conservation work of the National Wildlife Federation—and help
inspire our millions of members and supporters to care about wildlife and to act
on its behalf .
