Dear Friend,

What's next for America? Unity. Joy. National pride. That's what we can expect for our nation in 2020. Right?

Of course, I’m being sarcastic to make a point.

Regrettably, I believe the new year will be defined by a combative presidential election full of hostility, bitter partisanship, and discord; increasing incivility in the public square, especially in the news and on social media; and continued marginalization of Christian values in all institutions by the God-hating secular Left.

It's an ugly picture of a nation that once affirmed life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as blessings born in heaven.

Here's a case in point that proves if you publicly affirm Christian beliefs, you will be treated like a pariah.

On October 13, 2019, Pastor Keith Simon of The Crossing church in Columbia, Missouri, preached a sermon titled "Male and Female. Ancient Text. Modern Debate." By all accounts, the sermon was sensitive, loving, compassionate – and thoroughly biblical.

In response, local LGBTQ activists launched a petition demanding that local businesses stop doing business with the church. The Crossing was forced to explain itself and clarify that the sermon was not anti-transgender or hateful.

"This was a sermon at a church for people who want the Bible’s wisdom for everyday life," the church explained on its website.

And isn't God's wisdom what our nation needs?

That's why I want to offer you a four-CD audio series that’s all about biblical wisdom. It's titled Unleashing the Wisdom of God: A Study of Proverbs [[link removed]].

In the study, the Rev. Bert Harper and Dr. Alex McFarland, co-hosts of Exploring the Word on American Family Radio, guide listeners through the 31 chapters of Proverbs mining God's wisdom for the large and small events of life.

We need godly wisdom, and we need it now.

As most of you know, Proverbs is a collection of insights about life, often contrasting the way of righteousness with the way of the wicked. If the book teaches us anything, it is that there is a way to live that is wise and a way to live that is foolish.

How our nation needs the wisdom of God to overcome the divisions and malice in our society!

Only God can heal our broken nation, yet amazingly, He uses flawed, but faithful, people in the process.

The Scripture is full of such ordinary people – fishermen, tentmakers, shepherds – whom God used to turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6).

In my lifetime, I think of servants such as my dad, Don Wildmon, a small-town pastor who grew up in rural Mississippi. And James Dobson, Franklin Graham, the late Phyllis Schlafly, the late Jerry Falwell, and the late D. James Kennedy.

And most importantly, I think of our faithful family of AFA supporters.

Your prayers, gifts, and actions are what God has used to keep AFA on the front lines of this struggle for the soul of our nation for over 40 years.

If you appreciate the resources AFA offers and our ongoing efforts to restore our nation to its Christian foundation, please continue your support [[link removed]].

In appreciation for your faithfulness, I want to send you Unleashing the Wisdom of God: A Study of Proverbs. I know it will be a valuable help as you seek to live out the wisdom of God daily.

For your faithfulness in the past and in the future, I am sincerely grateful. May God richly bless you and your family.
