Ever since the people of North Texas elected me to Congress in 2018, I’ve fought hard in Washington to improve my constituents’ lives. It’s my job to make sure our district has a seat at the table and a voice in the House of Representatives. I am so proud of the accomplishments that we’ve achieved over the past two years with our majorities in Congress and President Biden’s leadership.
Things are going to look a bit different around here this year, as Republicans control the House by a very slim margin. Control of the House may have changed, but my approach will remain the same. I will continue to work with Democrats and Republicans to find common ground on the issues facing our districts and our country at large.
I have many friends on the other side who I will continue to collaborate with in order to pass legislation that makes things better for North Texans. That won’t always be easy, and I know we will have to deal with many unserious distractions from extreme Republicans, but I still believe that we can make government work for the American people.
