On the Horizon | What to Watch in 2023

For the United States and the world, 2022 was quite a year. From the war in Ukraine to unprecedented levels of human displacement, from challenges in food and energy security to the renewed importance of new and traditional alliances, from developments in our relationship with China to a leftward tilt in many parts of the Americas…and so much more.
As we look to 2023, we are poised for another momentous year. The Wilson Center strives to provide thoughtful scholarship and objective analysis about world events. We mobilize expertise from across our fourteen plus research programs, and provide calm counsel and commentary to numerous global and US audiences. We offer information and insights to Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, to the Administration, and the policymaking community.
