Hello!

Early this morning at 1:40 am, I took the oath of office to serve as the Congressman representing the First District of Texas. I wanted to tell you again how much I appreciate your support. Without your prayers, hard work, and vote, I would not be in Washington, DC, today. And I will need your continued partnership in the future.

As this long week has shown, I’ll need your prayers, but also your insight and wisdom as issues come up that affect East Texas. Throughout my service at the Capitol, please reach out to our hardworking office staff or me to let us know what is important to you and your community.

Many family members joined me in Washington, D.C. earlier this week. Although most couldn't stay for the swearing-in, it was great to have them with me.

Thank you again for your continued support. I could feel your prayers and well wishes 1,200 miles away.
