Hi John -- I'm still here on the Hill in DC today.

Right now, we are witnessing House Republicans have a meltdown of epic proportions. For the first time in a century, the House of Representatives has been unable to organize because Republicans have failed to vote for a Speaker.

House Republicans' chaos and confusion keep us from being sworn in, doing our duty, and serving the people who sent us to Washington. It's ridiculous and a sad day for our democracy when Republicans can't even perform one of the most basic responsibilities of governing.

We can either allow these Republican extremists to fail to do their jobs and throw our democracy into absolute chaos…

…Or we can take advantage of this one-in-a-generation moment and start building a foundation to help Democrats retake the House.

Because while Republicans are the party of chaos and confusion, the Democratic party is united and ready to get to work for the American people.
