John, this wasn’t the email I had hoped to send to you today.

It’s my job to keep track of Justice Democrats' fundraising and make sure we raise enough each month to cover our costs and plan for the long-term. But, I have some tough news, this year we raised 17.3% less over ActBlue than in 2021.

As a result of this dip in our numbers, it’s crucial that we reach our $75,000 end-of-year fundraising goal. We don’t have corporate PACs or billionaire donors to turn to if we fall short.

Imagine the Democratic Party without AOC, Jamaal Bowman, or Cori Bush in Congress. Justice Democrats recruited each of these leaders to run and win and we’re building the infrastructure for even more grassroots candidates to do the same.

We can’t continue to fall short of our fundraising goals. The success of our 2024 Candidate Recruitment is on the line and if we fall short of our end-of-year goal, we’re going to need to take a look at budget cuts for 2023.
