Pennsylvania remains a focal point every election cycle, and we are continuously told that the stakes have never been higher. This is true because we are always fighting to create a system that works for the many.
In 2022, this perennial truth was yet again underscored by the attempts made to undermine voting rights, especially in youth communities and communities of color across Pennsylvania.
This will remain just as true in 2023, such as in the election for the late Justice Max Baer’s seat on the PA Supreme Court, and in 2024, for which we must continue to set the foundations by expanding the electorate throughout both years.
Together, we’ve proven the potential of expanding Pennsylvania’s electorate and mitigating the underrepresentation crisis.
