CAN YOU CHIP IN?

Dear John

CAN YOU CHIP IN TO HELP ME BECOME LABOUR’S CANDIDATE FOR THE WEST
MIDLANDS’ METRO-MAYOR?

There's a crucial step in rebuilding Labour after our general election
defeat - and I'm writing to ask for your help. This week ballots go out to
Labour members, to choose our candidate for Britain's biggest mayoral role
outside London - the metro-mayor of the West Midlands

We need to raise £3,000 to help write to and call our 14,000 members who
make the decision. Can you chip in to help??

Since I announced in May, we've run a positive, issue based campaign -
focused on the things that our region needs:

* an end to the moral emergency of homelessness and hungry families
* action to help us lead the green industrial revolution
* and a real plan to reunite a region divided, like the rest of the
country - by the challenge of Brexit and the rise in hate crime.

Our campaign is backed by John McDonnell, Gordon Brown and over 150 local
party leaders and activists, including trade unions like the GMB, USDAW,
the TSSA and Community, plus the Co-operative Party, the Socialist Health
Association, the West Midlands Fabian Society, Labour Campaign for
International Development, the Labour Party Irish Society and Chinese for
Labour.

Anything you can do to help us would make the absolute world of difference.
We have a huge task to rebuild the West Midlands for the many and not the
few. So let's start now! There are two ways to give!
