With just over 24 hours before our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, we wanted to share a sneak peek into our ActBlue fundraising:
That’s our average contribution this quarter. Our grassroots movement is built on thousands of individuals like you pitching in $14.84 or whatever you can afford, whenever you can. And the fact that we’re able to raise as much as we do just one $14.84 donation at a time is a testament to the size and strength of the movement we’ve been building since Alexandria’s election in 2018.
Grassroots donors put her in Congress, and grassroots donors keep her there. Your support made it possible for Alexandria to introduce the Green New Deal, fight for student debt cancellation, win funeral assistance for families across the country, and so much more.
But our next test is ending the year strong with a solid 8,000 contributions before the end of the month. Our fundraising has been pacing slower since the end of the midterm cycle. But if we can reach that goal, we’ll be in good shape to fund the work necessary to continue to build the progressive infrastructure to elect more changemakers and win more legislative and community-focused victories in 2023.
