Team, now that the 2022 midterm election is officially over, we want to give our top grassroots supporters a quick overview of what our fight for fair maps helped accomplish.
✅ First, the good news: In states like Colorado, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Michigan, our work helped secure some of the fairest maps we’ve seen in decades. As a result, Democrats:
- Won full control of state government in Michigan and Minnesota, flipped the Pennsylvania House, and blocked North Carolina Republicans from winning a veto-proof majority.
- Won tough congressional seats in Colorado and North Carolina where Republicans were heavily favored to win – because these new districts were created as a result of fair redistricting processes.
- Re-elected vulnerable House Democrats in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

❌ But there’s also bad news: In four states – Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Ohio – voters were forced to participate in elections with unconstitutional maps.
