Dear Friend,

Let’s just come out and say it: it’s been a hard year. A hard year on the heels of several hard years.

This year we saw members of the LGBTQ+ community brutally gunned down in Colorado Springs, Kayne West inspired increased hate towards the Jewish community.  Roe v. Wade was overturned.  Hard won anti-harassment and discrimination policies were rolled back when Musk took the helm at Twitter. Anti-trans* bills were launched at unprecedented rates in state legislatures. Hate incidents against the AAPI community continued to surge. And the list goes on.

We mourn all those that we lost, and our hearts are with all those who are hurting. Including ourselves. But we’re not giving up. We’re ending this year on our terms.

We’re walking into 2023 determined to build a world that’s free of hate and harassment and filled with humanity. We’ve got plans to launch a new platform where people can share their stories of harassment and get support, train a million more people (literally! We did it this year and we can do it again!), and deepen our allying work with partners who are fighting for and with the most marginalized communities.
