Saturday night, we will close the books on our fundraising for the year. Then, once we return from the holiday weekend, our team will compile a fundraising report to send to the Federal Election Commission and shortly after, those numbers will be made public for everyone to see.
This may seem like just another deadline, but I’m really proud of this report and what it says about our campaign — it shares more than just how much we’ve raised this year. More importantly, it shares how many folks are with us.
You know, I got into politics to make a real difference in our community by fighting for the issues that matter most — making quality health care more affordable, protecting our environment against climate change, improving the quality of our public schools, and more. Folks like you supported me because you wanted to make a difference, too.
We’ve made a lot of progress over the last year and thanks to this incredible team, we won our election. But we can’t rest on our laurels yet, especially with Kevin McCarthy and Republicans taking over the House majority next month. But I know with this incredible team by my side, we can overcome any of the challenges that come our way and continue making the progress North Carolinians are counting on.

Our public FEC report will be the first snapshot folks will have of our campaign finances since we won our race last month. That’s why it’s critically important that we knock this goal out of the park and show everyone watching just how strong this grassroots team really is.
