Hi there John — My name is Maxwell Frost, and I am coming to you as an Afro-Cuban Gen-Z organizer and the first member of my generation to serve in Congress.

Before the 2022 midterms, I was a March For Our Lives organizer. It was at this dynamic, youth-led organization that I got to mobilize tens of thousands of young activists across the country as the first National Organizing Director, and develop a genuine understanding of the solutions communities need to thrive.

When I first launched my bid for Congress in Florida’s 10th District, I knew that my time at this organization had prepared me to fight with grit and integrity to represent my community. While some people viewed my race as a long shot and wrote me off, March For Our Lives knew what I could achieve and believed that I could make history. For this life-changing experience I am deeply grateful.

Growing up, I saw firsthand the lasting trauma gun violence has on our communities. That fear of not wanting to be shot at school drove me to become an organizer. We are the first generation to experience more mass shooting drills than fire drills, and I am determined to ensure we are the last.

Gen Z has made it clear: our voices won’t be ignored. Young people showed up to the polls and made history in the midterm elections by electing bold gun safety leaders committed to saving lives and making our communities safer.

As we close out the year, I am more hopeful than ever that young people hold the keys to transformational change. You are the only reason we made it this far, so I’m asking for a huge favor to continue our momentum.

Will you lend a hand to March For Our Lives by giving your first gift of $10 toward their End of Year fundraising goal? We need to keep up the fight in 2023 by harnessing our grassroots power to enact bold gun safety legislation >>

Next year, we still have some unfinished business to take care of. But now, let’s celebrate the victories 2022 brought us and ring in the new year right.

Thank you for being on the front lines of the gun violence prevention movement.

Together in the fight,

Maxwell Frost
Congressman-elect
Florida’s 10th Congressional District
