A Look Back at 30 Years As we close out 2022, we want to thank you for celebrating our 30th anniversary with us. The past 30 years have brought monumental change in the way child abuse is investigated and treated, and we are grateful for your support along the way. From serving our first child at the Arlington police department back in 1992 to having now served over 65,000 children today alongside our exclusive list of partners at three area child-friendly centers, we are proud of our mission rooted in the protection of Tarrant County's most vulnerable citizens. Our Chief Executive Officer, Julie Evans states, "I have long felt and believed in the power of the Alliance For Children approach for not only protection and seeking justice, but that we bring hope for children and families... Child abuse victims can and do heal and [Alliance For Children] makes that possible." Through the years, we've been so fortunate to receive support from the community that enables us to continue serving child abuse victims at no cost. For these children and their protective families, our work is life-changing. We remain wholly invested in supporting children through what may be the worst time of their lives, giving our all every day to ensure these children are protected now and well into the future. In celebration of our last 30 years of serving Tarrant County's child abuse victims, we'd like to share some brief highlights of our programs, which have grown and flourished over the years, and to reinforce our mission of protecting Tarrant County children from child abuse through teamed investigations, healing services, and community education. Every year, the Tarrant County community gives back to our families through our Christmas Connection and our Back to School Connection. These events give families relief from the burdens of Christmas and back to school shopping, providing them with gifts and supplies during a time when they may be under extra stress. Let's Play Bingo! Ladies Luncheon, our signature fundraising event, alongside our Sporting Clay Tournament and past events like Picnic in the Park, give the Tarrant County community a chance to actively support our work. Underwriting, sponsoring, and attending these events enables us to continue to serve children and their protective families completely free of charge. To get your ticket to our Let's Play Bingo! Ladies Luncheon, click here: Tickets and Tables Available Now Through community education for both school children and adult members of the community, Alliance For Children teaches how to prevent child abuse first-hand and what to do if you know a child is being victimized. These free courses help children and adults to be champions for those in need. Over the years, we have expanded our offerings, including field trips and other interactive activities to provide a memorable experience for these children. Look for ways you can support Camp B.L.U.E. coming this spring! After an exhilarating capital campaign, we are so excited to have construction at our Fort Worth center completed, and well underway at our Arlington and Northeast centers. Throughout it all, our partners have stood by us, pitching in to help when needed (see Lt. Benjamin, above, architect of our lobby boat from our old location at 908 Southland, now christened in its new location at our Fort Worth center on Marquita). Through the support of community members like you and our partners across Tarrant County, we move into the next 30 years ready to serve the most vulnerable children in our community. Through the children's advocacy center model, we have built a multidisciplinary team of over 500 dedicated partners who serve and protect children across our community. Alliance For Children and the multidisciplinary team are effective because of the passion these partners all share for the work we do, ensuring that each child receives the individualized care that they deserve. We're going into 2023 ready to fight for the children of Tarrant County, and our work is needed now more than ever. To ensure healing and our team are available for the next child, please consider an end of year gift to our mission and the protection of many.
