John, as we close out the year, I have been reflecting on how far we came in 2022. This year we successfully…

--> Pressured Congress into passing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act — landmark legislation to enhance background checks, keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, and fund mental health services in our schools.

--> Took our fight to state capitols across the country — and won. Our volunteers helped states pass 45 gun safety reform bills in 2022, including banning high-capacity magazines, regulating ghost guns, and banning assault weapons!

--> Elected our first Gen Z member of Congress, a gun violence survivor and advocate, and former March For Our Lives staffer, Maxwell Frost!
One step at a time, we are creating a safer world for the next generation, and that is thanks to generous supporters like you who have donated time, energy, and resources to this cause.

But we’re not done yet. In 2022, there have been more than 250 shootings on school campuses – the worst year in history.

We are STILL pressuring Congress to renew the Assault Weapons Ban and pass common-sense gun safety legislation like safe storage laws. We won’t rest until weapons of war are off our streets and out of our classrooms.
