John,

You’ve seen the news. You’ve heard all about FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange company whose founder and CEO Samuel Bankman-Fried was indicted last week on federal corruption charges.

What does this have to do with the Chicago mayor’s race? Everything.

Earlier this year, Congressman Chuy Garcia received $200,000 in campaign support from Sam Bankman-Fried’s Super PAC, even though Garcia was running unopposed. Not only that, but Garcia sits on the House Financial Services Committee, which regulates cryptocurrency.

The connections between Sam Bankman-Fried and Chuy Garcia raise serious questions about his integrity and his transparency with voters.

Voters deserve to know the facts when making important decisions about who they can trust.

Will you make a contribution to Lori Lightfoot’s grassroots-powered campaign right now?

The Bankman-Fried/Chuy Garcia relationship sounds an awful lot like the old ways of Chicago-style politics.

But that’s not what the people of Chicago want — and we know it.

Please, help Lori Lightfoot keep Chicago moving forward.

Thank you for supporting progress.

– Team Lightfoot
