Folks,

Before the year ends, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on women’s rights in our country, and what we can do to support women that need it most.

I’ve spent much of my career advocating for women’s rights and reproductive freedom — from demanding healthcare providers cover birth control in the 90s, to opposing every single law restricting abortion access in our state legislature, to signing on as a co-sponsor to the Women’s Health Protection Act this year. And I haven’t been working alone — people like you who continue to push the needle have brought us to where we are today.

While we’ve come a long way in our fight to secure women’s rights over the years, our country is still grappling with issues that disproportionately affect women, including pay inequality, domestic violence, and attacks on reproductive freedom.

It’s times like these that remind us how important it is to keep up the important fight for women’s rights, even when the going gets tough. And one of the ways we can support women in our state is by uplifting organizations that protect women day in and day out.

The Raleigh Women’s Center works tirelessly to provide immediate relief to women in the Triangle experiencing homelessness — and as temperatures drop, their work is increasingly critical to the health of our community. This hard-working organization is doing everything they can to reach all women in need — and they need our help.

So if you can, will you make a donation to the Raleigh Women’s Center? 100% of your donation will go to supporting their efforts to serve and assist at-risk women in our community. [[link removed]]

Thank you for giving the gift of allyship to this organization, if you are able to. I’m so grateful that we have a community that looks out for one another, and for this team — today and every day.
