Friends, family, and supporters: 

As we begin to slow down around the winter holidays, I want to take a moment to wish you and your family peace and good health throughout the season.

This time of year is one of my favorites — seeing the generosity of spirit that marks the holiday season abound, taking time to relax with loved ones and friends, and kicking off a new year with a fresh start and a smile.

Many of you may know that we recently lost Anne’s mother, Virginia Holton — known to all as “Jinks.” Jinks led an amazing life, filled with family and purpose, and her memory will remain an inspiration to me and so many who knew her. In the last months of her life, she was particularly happy to welcome twin grandchildren into the Holton family.

I’ve been deeply moved in the last year to see Anne fulfill the role of daughter as she’s helped both of her parents pass gracefully from life to heavenly peace. Over the next week, I know that we will think of them often, fondly remembering so many of the traditions we’ve shared over the years.

To those who will be celebrating this weekend, I wish you a very Merry Christmas.
