Trump has kicked off the new year with a bevy of new regulation rollbacks, including dismantling half-century-old environmental regulations protecting our environment from new developments.
These proposed rules would limit federal agencies from fully assessing the environmental impact of projects before construction begins. They also limit the public’s ability to comment on what developments come to their communities.
It’s obvious what Trump is doing. He’s prioritizing profits for his billionaire friends in Big Oil and Big Coal over everyday Americans and their needs. He’s ensuring that dark corporate money is flowing into the 2020 election, silencing voters and keeping the government in the hands of corporations.
