Dear Friend,

At Adhikaar we embrace a holistic approach—one that moves from direct services to advocating—as a way of strengthening our members’ leadership and driving systemic change. Organizing and building the power of Domestic Workers is a core part of this work.

Though Domestic Work makes all other work possible, it remains one of the most unprotected and vulnerable careers. Our members regularly share stories about rampant exploitation, low wages, and working long hours without any breaks. To build our members’ skills and knowledge of workers’ rights, Adhikaar offers CPR and “We Rise” nanny training in Nepali.

Through these programs, our members have gained job readiness and leadership training to secure dignified and decent work.

This is only a highlight of our transformative work advancing the rights of Domestic Workers. To learn more, check out our recent newsletter.

Thank you for taking the time to support and uplift our work. Your donation helps Adhikaar reach its vision to build a powerful, diverse and intergenerational community that embraces one whole self.

In solidarity,

Narbada Chhetri,

Director of Organizing & Programs
