The January 6th committee just referred Trump for three criminal charges: insurrection (duh), obstruction of an official proceeding (also duh), and conspiracy to defraud the federal government (a much more coup-y version of Trump Steaks, Trump U, you get the idea).

Before you pop some champagne, this fight is not over. In fact, it gets harder from here.

Trump is not going away. This does not hurt him with his base. If anything, this inflames them more. And there are enough of them to win him the 2024 GOP Presidential nomination.

That's the fight. We're going to be spending the next two years making sure Trump and Trumpists are so irrevocably damaged that even if they do win their nominations - from President down to dogcatcher - that they can't win a general. Right now, they can. It's up to us to stop them. Are you in?

Also remember: We don't have the January 6th Committee digging anymore. The televised hearings you'll see out of the House for the next two years (if there are any) are going to be the deepest dive you'll ever see into Hunter Biden's laptop, "grooming," and whatever else comes out of the broken Magic 8 Ball in Marjorie Taylor Greene's head.

We all need to remember a few things:

1) Trump is still the favorite for the Republican nominee for President in 2024

2) The ultra-MAGA base has the entire party - policy, nomination process, you name it - held hostage

and - just as importantly:

3) For whatever reason, the mainstream media is trying to ignore the above and is gobbling up every "Trump's done" narrative they can find, hook, line and sinker.

We've been right going on three years now. We're kind of getting sick of it, but that's the fight we're in.
