Voices from Ukraine: "No matter how scary it was, we had to help people"

As Ukraine takes back territories in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are witnessing the grave medical and humanitarian consequences of war. People in these regions have gone without health care and medicine for over nine months and medical structures and pharmacies are badly damaged. MSF is one of very few international organizations on the ground in these areas, where our mobile clinics are providing medical and mental health care and treatment for chronic conditions like hypertension. Here, MSF patients and staff—many of whom are working in their own communities—share their stories in their own words.  Read more.
