Donald Trump did not win the real 2016 election. He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes -- and yet, he’s still the president, thanks to the Electoral College.
This system of electing the president is a remnant of a bygone era when wealthy landowners didn’t trust voters and wanted to preserve power for themselves. We must abolish this system and restore American democracy to the hands of the voters. Otherwise, Democrats risk losing the White House AGAIN.
