Dear John,
2022 has been a big year for Lillian's List and North Carolina. As we reflect back on the year, we wanted to share our top 10 moments with you.

Thanks to our Featured Candidates, we were able to prevent a Republican supermajority in the NC House, protecting Gov. Cooper's veto and abortion access in NC!
Lillian’s List helped elect 11 new women who are champions of reproductive freedom to the NC General Assembly. Women will now make up 29% of the legislature, up from 25%.
For the first time in state history, women now make up the majority of both the Senate and House Democratic caucuses.

Another exciting first--The first Asian-American women were elected to the NCGA, Featured Candidates and Reps.-Elect Maria Cervania and Ya Liu in Wake County.
Featured Candidate and LL Elect Women of Color Training alumna Diamond Staton-Williams was the only Democrat to flip a competitive seat this cycle. She will be the first person of color to represent Cabarrus County in the NCGA, replacing the far-right, anti-abortion extremist Larry Pittman.
Featured Candidate Laura Budd, who was recruited by Lillian's List, successfully defended a newly competitive House seat in Mecklenburg County.
In the primary elections, nine of our 12 candidates with primary challengers won due to Lillian’s List early endorsement and support.
Together, we raised almost $200,000 for our Featured Candidates! These funds helped them run strong, modern campaigns in districts all across the state.
Progressive women are now a majority on the Raleigh City Council and Wake County Board of Commissioners. NC's biggest cities continue to be led by women, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, and Asheville.
This year, Lillian's List turned 25! Since 1997, we have worked to change the face of power in NC by electing pro-choice, progressive women. Over the years, we've expanded to offer trainings and support for women running at all levels of office.
None of this would be possible without the support of the Lillian's List community. You can support our year-round recruiting and training programs by making a contribution today. [[link removed]]
Thank you, and we hope you have a great holiday season!
