For me, answering the call to serve those in the 4th District is bittersweet. I entered into the State Senate on the heels of then-Senator Donald McEachin, a man who worked so hard to be the voice of his constituents, and who went on to continue the fight for Virginians in the U.S. Congress. Now, I hope to continue to live up to his incredible legacy once more, and take on the mantle of the key issues Democrats must face in the minority in Washington.
