Since we launched JD after Bernie’s 2016 campaign just a few short years ago, we’ve gone up against the political establishment many times and won — but this work takes major resources.

With your support, we’ve accomplished a lot. But since we’ve seen a steady decline in our fundraising this entire year, we really need your help to reach our $120,000 Candidate Recruitment fundraising goal.

Justice Democrats began after Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign. A few staffers, myself included, decided to continue the work to elect progressives by launching Justice Democrats. For a team with a small budget, we’ve had quite an impact in the last few years.

In 2018, we recruited and worked with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez every single step of the way to help her defeat one of the most entrenched, powerful, corporate-backed incumbents in Congress.

Then in 2020, we recruited and helped elect Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush, sending their strong progressive voices to Congress and expanding our bloc in Congress.

This cycle, we recruited Summer Lee to run for office, helped her overcome millions of dollars in outside Super PAC money and we successfully helped re-elect every single member of the Squad.

We’ll never have as much money as the political establishment because we refuse to take a dime from corporate PACs and we don’t have billionaire funders who can help out if we fall short of our goals. Our work is truly powered by tens of thousands of people like you chipping in because they believe in what we’re fighting for.
