Farm Aid President Willie Nelson signing 2022 grant checks

Dear John,

Toward the end of every year, the entire Farm Aid staff gathers to review the grant applications we receive from organizations around the country working tirelessly to strengthen family farmers. It’s a process that everyone at the organization deeply values because it allows all of us to learn and understand more about the important work each of these partners is doing.

Once our grantmaking decisions are made, the checks are issued – each of them signed by Willie himself – and sent to our grantees. The grants provide our partner organizations with crucial resources to advance their work to help family farmers thrive, promote racial equity and social justice across our food system, support farmer-led solutions to climate change and continue to build power for systemic change.

Your donation [[link removed]] in any amount makes a real difference for family farmers and, as a small token of our appreciation, we’re pleased to offer an official Farm Aid beanie [[link removed]] for your generous gift of $75 or more.

I’m humbled to be a part of the Farm Aid team and proud to announce that, so far this year, Farm Aid has made grants of nearly $1.2 Million. These funds will be put to work right away by our partners around the country and enable them to continue to work directly with farmers to develop innovative and inspiring solutions to the challenges they face. Some partners provide one-on-one technical assistance or long-term operational strategies; some are advocates for policies that benefit family farmers at the state and federal levels; and others are resources that help provide access to land, new markets, federal grants, and other financial and legal resources.

Farm Aid’s critical support enables independent farmers and the organizations they depend on to focus on what they do best – growing the good food we all depend on. Farm Aid simply couldn’t do it without the support of people like you. Thank you for standing with family farmers. [[link removed]]

Gratefully,
