I'm not going to lie, while I sent fewer emails, I had a pretty great last month!

I'm back to life being a hockey dad, Lucy's dog walker and aspiring amature cyclist. My tutoring company (GradePower Learning [[link removed]] ) just had our best November since 2016 when I went on my last overseas Navy deployment, one of our SEALs was killed, and I vowed to come home and run for public office.



It turns out, putting the business on the backburner for six years wasn't the best choice from a personal finance perspective, so it's good that my wife has me back on track as a financial advisor [[link removed]] herself! But, I'm happy to report, I've already hired six new teachers, expanded with two new centers in Windermere and Riverview, and even expanded and moved my flagship location in Valrico [[link removed]]



I'm not going anywhere



I didn't run for office for power, I ran to make a difference. We've done that, and leaders don't need titles to lead.



This week, I joined WFLA [[link removed]] to talk about the crisis in insurance, the costs it's pushing onto Florida's homeowners and renters alike, and what we need to do to offer relief for working families. Read my full blog post about it here [[link removed]] .



My wife and I joke and nobody hates Riverview's traffic more than us, and so I've stayed on top of the Bell Shoals conflagration, the new traffic lights we had put in motion on Lithia Pinecrest and down in Riverview, and of course the interchange improvements we got funded at Big Bend, Boyette, and the finishing work on 301.



Somebody has to stand up to hold power to account. We cannot sick back and lick our wounds any longer. I'm not giving up on Florida and neither should you.



I'm not sure what the New Year will bring, but no matter what the setback or opportunity, together will continue to march...
