Greetings!

The American Sustainable Business Network is now one year into our merger of Social Venture Network, Investors Circle and the American Sustainable Business Council and we have emerged stronger and more effective than ever before.

Working with business organizations and our company and investor leaders, ASBN has doubled down on movement building, providing leadership and impact on climate, inclusive economy, and protecting democracy — all to build a more just and regenerative economy.

Our policy advocacy continued to grow with
* Our advocacy on the successful passage of the Infrastructure bill and the Inflation Reduction Act
* Our recommendations for federal procurement on how to transition from fossil fuels
* Significant movement on State bills to limit single-use plastics and support worker ownership

On the investor side of our work
* Our Investors Circle initiative was able to catalyze investments of $6.3M in 31 companies and funds. ASBN now has a new focus on alternative investment structures and is looking for new investors who want to make an impact through their investments
* Our Restorative Investing working group and our newly launched Faith-Based Investing working group are charting new pathways to get investment funds to BIPOC enterprises

We continue to grow our local state initiatives – with the launch of the Texas Sustainable Business Network, deeper work in Ohio with the Ohio Sustainable Business Council, and new work being launched in Pennsylvania in 2023.

ASBN is also very proud of the recent announcement made by Secretary Deb Haaland on the partnership between the U.S. Department of the Interior and ASBN, to collaborate on support of Tribally-led community economic development.

Through recognition from the USDA for our partnership with Other Half Processing, ASBN will begin building a broad regenerative agriculture and justice alliance to impact the farm bill.

Our inclusive economy work continues to have impact and we are now launching our Catalyzing Community Prosperity participatory action research initiative with underserved urban and rural communities across the country.

Through our member network, partnerships and community support and involvement, ASBN has been able to impact public policy as we work to create an economic system that benefits us all -- people and planet. If you would like to join us in 2023, there are lots of ways to be involved:
* If you are not member, now is a great time to join ASBN ([link removed])
