John, with help from folks all across the country, we accomplished so much this midterm election, including expanding our Senate majority.

To celebrate and reflect on our big wins, I want to take a moment to highlight what we affirmed during this past election season:

We affirmed that the American Rescue Plan's expanded Child Tax Credit was a historic anti-poverty policy and a tax cut for working families that reduced child poverty nearly by half, and that the American people want to see it reinstated.

We affirmed that investing in our climate, clean energy, and lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs with the Inflation Reduction Act is a winning political strategy and catalyst for global energy policy.

We resolved ourselves to cut carbon emissions 40 percent by 2030 and to ensure that no Medicare recipient pays more than $35 for insulin.

We showed that we don’t just talk the talk about creating good-paying union jobs — we walked the walk by passing the largest infrastructure investment since Eisenhower and building the semiconductor manufacturing jobs of the future.

We proved that we can take on the NRA and win to expand background checks, close the dangerous “boyfriend loophole,” keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, and crack down on gun trafficking and straw man purchases.

And we showed that in the United States of America, we respect everyone's right to marry who they love, and that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson can be the first Black woman appointed to the Supreme Court and better reflect the true diversity of our country.

But it wasn't just the legislation we passed in Congress or the judges we confirmed that made this all happen. It was also thanks to this incredible grassroots team.

Together, you helped us raise over $1 million to defend our Democratic majorities these past two years. It was a team effort that got Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Kelly, Maggie Hassan, John Fetterman, Rev. Raphael Warnock, and others across the finish line. Thank you.

With all that being said, I know 2024 may feel like a long way off, but we've got to start preparing now if we're going to defend our majority once again with an extremely tough Senate map. What do you say? Will you pitch in $10?
