The picture above is what a DNA kit looks like, John. ⤴️
DNA kits are used to identify children in case of an emergency. This is how families identify their mutilated children if they are killed during a mass shooting. According to lawmakers in states like Texas, this is the best policy solution they can come up with to respond to gun violence.
Over the past few days, March For Our Lives youth activists, our partners and gun violence survivors spent the week in D.C. hand-delivering these kits to Senators as a reminder of the deadly reality we live in.
We can save countless lives by taking the next step to get weapons of war off the streets: passing the Assault Weapons Ban. We already have the support of the American people, the House of Representatives, and President Biden backing us on this issue.
Now, all we need is for Senator Chuck Schumer to put the bill up for a vote on the Senate floor before this legislative session ends on December 21.
We cannot rest until our communities are safe and free of gun violence. Write a message to your Senator urging them to vote on the Assault Weapons Ban immediately →
The public deserves to know which leaders truly represent the will of the people and who is playing politics with our lives.
Thank you for using your voices to demand action.
